The designer, Robert Trent Jones, has created one of Thailand's best golf courses which is  water friendly but with plenty of bunkers, sloping lies and good dog leg holes. Situated right behind Mae Jo University, the oldest agricultural college in Chiang Mai, the course is less than 30 kilometers or only 20 minutes drive mostly along the divided highways from the airport. The course features rolling zoysia grass fairways and large challenging Korea Velvet greens with beautiful views of Doi Suthep and other surrounding mountain ranges. With several elevated areas the golf course looks and plays more like a well-matured course rather than a newly constructed one.
